First real week in Uni

Thursday, September 28th, 2006

This is actually my second week in university but this is the first week that any work has actually been done, even though its not much. So far we have learned how to create web pages in Microsoft FrontPage (I decided I would rather use NotePad again) and we have learned how to convert Decimal into Binary and back again. Easy considering I already knew how to do both.

My Hero in Hospital

Wednesday, September 20th, 2006

Today Richard Hammand, a presenter from my favourite television program Top Gear, is in a critical condition in hospital after crashing in a jet-powered car while filming for the program at Elvington Airfield.

I hope Richard gets well soon and my prays go out to him and his family.

Summer is almost over

Tuesday, September 12th, 2006

I have been on summer break since May 19th (or at least that was my last hand-in) and it is almost time once again to go back university, I am really looking forward to it. I register on September 16th (this Saturday) and start September 18th (next Monday). I do not actually remember a great deal about the last few months but the highlight for me was my holiday in France at Le Pas Opton (I still have not been in contact with some people I have met their, I really should get onto that). Over the last few weeks though I have been playing Final Fantasy XI non-stop (I blame Woody for that).

Eight click to Play

Monday, September 4th, 2006

I enjoy playing Final Fantasy XI as you may have noticed in my previous blog posts that I have become quite addicted to it. However, I do wonder why I have to click my mouse, or press enter, eight times before I can start playing. Granted one of the clicks is to open the Start Menu and the other to start the PlayOnline viewer but that still makes six. If I start another game like, for example, Unreal Tournament 2004 five clicks, two to start as before, and I am playing Instagib CTF online I also feel like have not waist any time getting there. I can think of two clicks I can remove strait away, one being the second "Play" button in the PlayOnline View going into Final Fantasy XI and the second being the "Accept" for do you agree to follow the "Rules & Policies" and "Rules of Conduct" which I have agreed to before, last time I logged in and my option has not changed since then.
